Will I need a Building Approval to replace my roof?
When a roof replacement will involve replacing more than 20% of the roof, the building structure must be checked and approved for roof replacement by a Structural Engineer.
After this a building certifier must then provide approval ensuring the building is suitable and compliant with current standards. Once the roof replacement is complete, our independent building certifiers will lodge any relevant forms with your local council.

Will I need to vacate my property during the roof replacement?
No, it is not a requirement for you to vacate your property during replacement.
Depending on the project, a replacement can be completed in a matter of days. However, if noise will harm your day-to-day life (e.g., work from home, young children, pets etc), moving out for a couple of days will be beneficial. This does not affect our work.
